立秋，是二十四节气中第13个节气（Chinese solar terms）, 也是秋季的第一个节气，为秋季的起点。所以立秋的英文表达为Start of Autumn，是不是很简单、直接？
虽然夏季结束，但立秋并不代表酷热天气就此结束，初秋期间天气仍然很热。所谓“热在三伏”（the dog days），立秋后还有至少“一伏”的酷热天气，也就是说，酷暑并没有过完，就是我们俗称的“秋老虎”（Indian Summer）啦。
But the beginning of autumn does not mean that the hot weather is over, the period of hot days still lasting for a while, what we called “Indian Summer”.
进入秋季，还意味着收获，万物开始从繁茂成长趋向萧索成熟。农村有俗语说，“立秋雨淋淋，遍地是黄金”
